Frequently asked questions
How do I add a special or event?
Open a bar's page, pick the day, and tap the add button. Choose Drink, Food or Event, fill in the details and tap Post.
A bar I know isn't in the app
Go to Specials and search the area. If nothing shows up, tap "Suggest a place". Owners can tap "I own a bar" and we'll reach out.
A special is wrong or outdated
Specials are shared by the community and bars can change them at any time. Email us with the bar name and the special and we will fix or remove it. On the bar's page you can also tap "Suggest update" to correct the bar's details.
How do I save a favorite place?
Tap the heart on a bar's page. Your favorites show up on the Home and Profile screens, and you'll get a notification when they post a new special (if notifications are on).
I forgot my password
Sign out, then tap "Forgot password?" on the login screen. We'll email you a reset link (check your spam folder). If you signed up with Google or Facebook, use that button instead – there's no separate password.
Why does the app need my location?
To show bars, specials and events near you and sort them by distance. Location is only used while you use the app and we don't keep a history of it. You can also search any city instead.
How do I change my ad or tracking choices?
If you were asked for ad consent, open Settings → Privacy choices in the app. On iPhone you can also change tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. You can also do it without the app on our account deletion page, or email us from the address on your account.
Bar owners
Want your bar on TappThat, or need to correct your listing? Tap "I own a bar" in the app or email support@tappthat.com with your bar's name and address. We may contact you to confirm you're the owner or manager.
